Sotheby's will offer four pieces of jewelry at high estimates totaling more than $28 million at upcoming live auctions in Geneva and Hong Kong.
The Geneva Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels sale, scheduled for April, will take place on June 23. The auction will feature a 3.01-carat, blue fancy diamond , is worth between $4.3 million and $6.3 million, the auction house said last week.
A VVS2 diamond ring with a rectangular shape, weighing 7 carats, and a fancy pink color will also be auctioned at the event in Geneva. That work, which was auctioned after more than 30 years in the same private collection, is expected to fetch between $2.5 million and $3.5 million.
Also for sale at the Geneva event is an emerald and diamond necklace from the collection of Consuelo Montagu, Duchess of Manchester. Montagu, an American heiress, was famous for encouraging her wealthy friends to marry British aristocrats, inspiring the phrase million dollar princess. The necklace, which was on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for 22 years, is estimated to be worth between $300,000 and $400,000.
Meanwhile, the sale of the Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels auction, postponed from May due to the coronavirus outbreak, will take place on July 10. This auction fair will be led by a diamond ring type IIb, rectangular, blue, rectangular . Surrounded by two white diamonds, the gem is estimated to be worth between $7.7 million and $9.7 million.

Another piece to be offered in Hong Kong is an antique diamond bracelet by designer Garrard, given to Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth's sister, on her 21st birthday. The item is valued between $49,000 and $64,500.
Sotheby's will also hold three online sales over the next two months, including a major jewelry sale in New York, scheduled for June 10-16; Part I of the Geneva Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction, June 16-24; and the Geneva Fine Jewels auction, which runs from July 7 to 15.
